Eslha7an Learning Centre:   Squamish Nation, (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw)

These Medicine Wheel video trailers were created by the students of Eslha7an Learning Centre Squamish Nation, (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw). The workshop was facilitated by Squamish Nation Artist Candice Halls- Howcroft. Eslha7an is an adult learning centre that offers a variety of programs including the Dogwood Diploma. Students from the Arromight, Discovering Wisdom Program (WaTelnexwstm ta Snewiyalh) and the Lightening Youth Program (T’xayusm) collaborated together in a one-day workshop to make them. Enjoy!

Stz’uminus Community School: Stz’uminus Nation

These short videos were created by Sue Davis’ Gr. 6 students at Stz’uminus Community School They collaborated together in teams to create these public service announcements using IPad technology. The workshop was facilitated by the BC Indigenous Artist team: John Aitken, David Lyle, Candice Halls-Howcroft, Shelley MacDonald, and Roy Mulder. 2 of these videos placed 1st(Respect Tobacco) and 2nd (Don’t Smoke) in the First Nations Health Authority 2017 student film contest.
